  • Third Annual Instrument Drive Winds Down; Kids’ Music Week Kicks Off CENTENNIAL, Colo. – April 5, 2012 –  Music education in Colorado is getting a much-needed boost thanks to Colorado Public Radio’s (CPR) third Annual Instrument Drive. The two-week drive to collect gently-used musical instruments wrapped up in March.

  • The Colorado Symphony and Opera Colorado Performances to be Broadcast Statewide CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Jan. 10, 2012  – Colorado Public Radio (CPR) introduces its live broadcast season for 2012, beginning Jan. 13. CPR will broadcast three full-length performances by The Colorado Symphony and three complete performances by Opera Colorado.

Since its inception, the program has focused on sharing insightful stories about people, issues and ideas affecting Colorado.

  • CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Oct. 26, 2011 – A staff of five will lead the launch of OpenAir, beginning Oct. 31 on 1340 AM in Denver. They’ll explore new ideas, new bands and new sounds with a Colorado perspective.
  • CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Sept. 26, 2011– Colorado Public Radio (CPR) has named its new-music station on 1340 AM in Denver OpenAir. It will begin broadcasting on October 31. OpenAir will provide a comprehensive music experience focusing on new and recent music of the past 15 years with a Colorado perspective.
