Inmates in the El Paso County Jail in Colorado Springs say a new rule violates their rights. They can no longer send letters to friends and family...only postcards. The one exception to the no-letters policy is legal mail, like letters to an attorney. The ACLU of Colorado is suing the El Paso County Sheriff over the rule. The Sheriff's office says the rule is meant to save money and make the jail more secure. Mark Silverstein is the legal director for the ACLU of Colorado.
