De'von Bailey Police Shooting Colorado Springs
Hart Van Denburg/CPR News
A memorial has grown on Preuss Road in southeast Colorado Springs where city police shot De’Von Bailey on Aug. 3. He later died.

An attorney for the family of De'Von Bailey says the 19-year-old African-American who was shot and killed by Colorado Springs police this month, has been maligned following his death. Attorney Darold Killmer also says the family continues to push for an independent investigation into what happened. The District Attorney has not yet decided if the officers involved in the shooting should be charged.
