It’s known as Colorado’s Art War. In 1948 modern artists broke off from the Denver Artists Guild to hold their own show at the Denver Art Museum. There was name-calling and a lot of newspaper coverage. Now an exhibit at the Kirkland Museum in Denver tells the story of this war. Hugh Grant and Deborah Wadsworth are co-curators for the exhibit.
