The state veterinarian’s office is concerned about the number of neglected and abused horses in Colorado. In the worst cases, the animals have to be taken from their owners. But then what happens? That’s where the new Harmony Equine Center comes in. It’s run by the Dumb Friends League, best known for adopting cats and dogs. For months now, they’ve been taking in horses. We pay a visit, as the center starts adopting out its first horses.
