Since January 1, 2021, it has been illegal for landlords in Colorado to treat anyone applying for housing differently based on their source of income. Yet those who work in the fair housing industry here, say the problem persists not just in Denver but statewide. John Paul Marosy is the Outreach & Education Coordinator for the Denver Metro Fair Housing Center. We also speak with Shelli Fransen, a single mom who lives in Wheat Ridge.
