Football at a school for the deaf obviously has some differences. Players and coaches use sign language to signal plays, and the national anthem resembles a dance more than a ballad.
Filmmaker Mimi D'autremont followed the deaf and hard-of-hearing players on the Gallaudet University team for a documentary as part of her graduate school thesis at George Washington University.
The film, "Anyone Like Me," features a player from Arvada, Shelby Bean. "Anyone Like Me" screens Friday at the DocuWest Film Festival in Denver.
