For the first time a study adds what weathers costs the U.S. economy. And the tally is $485 billion. Jeff Lazo is one of the study’s authors. He’s an economist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder. This study shows that weather affects every part of the economy. It looked just at the lower 48 states. So now they’ve got this big number? Now what? Lazo gives that answer to CPR's Ryan Warner.
