On Tuesday, Governor John Hickenlooper introduced his proposed budget and it’s a doozy. Half a billion dollars in cuts to education, prisons, state parks and state worker salaries. Colorado Public Radio’s Megan Verlee breaks down the governor’s proposal.
Then, Ryan Warner talks with the superintendent of Colorado’s largest school district. Cindy Stevenson runs Jefferson County Public Schools, west of Denver. She says the cuts were bigger than expected.
