April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, designed to bring awareness to the issues of child abuse and neglect. A national organization that works with families, children, and courts to determine the best interests of children is CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates. According to their website, the Dependency and Neglect Advocacy Program in the Pikes Peak chapter of CASA served over 250 children in their 2007-2008 fiscal year.

In this week's "Citizen Report," volunteer and advocate Francis Eggleton says the catalyst that brought him to work with CASA has become much more than his own story.
