Colorado Springs and El Paso County has one of the highest suicide rates in the nation. In May, area organizations held a conference to address the topic and to come up with an action plan. The Suicide Prevention Partnership of the Pikes Peak Region is tasked with spearheading action items following the conference. KRCC's Andrea Chalfin recently sat down with Director Janet Karnes to follow-up on the conference and to talk about what's next.
