Meet Kipp Nash - urban yard farmer. Nash is turning the concept of sharecropping on its head -- trying to create a viable vegetable farm in the yards of his neighbors. His work is local food at its most local.
KCFR's Megan Verlee profiled Nash and his unique farm.

Urban farmer Kipp Nash maneuvers a rototiller around a backyard lawn, "transfarming" it, as he says, into a future vegetable patch.

Nash's neighbor Camille Hook calls her front yard patch the 'salsa garden' - later in the summer, cilantro and tomotoes will replace these rows of lettuces.
