Tax Bills Clear House After Long Debates

After roughly 30 hours of debate, state lawmakers cleared a slew of bills on Monday that would eliminate business tax exemptions to help fill the budget shortfall. Republicans and Democrats argued heatedly about whether the measures were necessary, or would cost jobs and further stifle a struggling economy in the long run.
