The fight for women's suffrage takes center stage in a new novel called, The Vote. A young Coloradan named Kate Brennan is swept up in a National Women's Party protest in front of the White House. The story is based on events leading up to the 1919 passage of the 19th Amendment. Kate brings the fight home to Colorado, where state politics helped turn the tide for national women's suffrage.
