Legislature Considers Tax Check-Off To Promote Cord-Blood Transplants

A proposed check-off on Colorado income tax forms would promote the collection of stem cells from umbilical cords. The cells are often transplanted to fight leukemia and other blood diseases. Ryan Warner speaks with leukemia survivor Sheila Gannon and with Brian Freed, professor at The University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center.
