Colorado Biotech Innovator Takes on Health Care

Larry Gold is a University of Colorado biology professor who, in the 1990s, made significant discoveries and sold two biotech start-up companies for close to a billion dollars. Gold says scientific advances are on the verge of transforming medicine, and he wants policymakers to be ready. So he's hosting a science and policy symposium in Boulder Friday and Saturday. Gold explained why to Colorado Public Radio Health Reporter Eric Whitney.
