The Colorado Springs Gazette examines the work and funds for city workers amid budget cutbacks and layoffs.D-11 officials have approved plans for Irving Middle School, and teacher contracts (Gazette). The Colorado Springs Independent takes a look at the price tag of the SDS water pipeline.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports Pueblo County Commissioners are looking at buying and tearing down a bridge along Fountain Creek to help restore water flow, as an effort to help Colorado Springs reach compliance for the SDS pipeline. The paper also reports two schools in the Chavez system are now on probation.
