During the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, filmmaker AJ Schnack blanketed the city with camera crews. He wanted a raw, behind-the-scenes sense of the DNC which, in so many ways, was a highly produced and highly scripted event. Very often, that meant getting outside the Pepsi Center, to follow city officials, protestors, and some of the journalists covering the event. The result is the documentary "Convention." It's just been picked up by Sundance Selects...which means it's available now-- on demand-- through major cable providers, as well as Direct TV. The deal also means distribution in movie theaters across the country. Ryan Warner caught up director AJ Schnack late last year.
