Where the Roof Meets the Road

June 25, 2010

A new shingle recycling plant in Denver will turn old asphalt roofing into material for road paving. It's part of a program between building materials manufacturer Owens Corning, their local roofing contractors, and an environmental services company based in Indiana. The project already has shingle recycling plants in three Midwestern cities; the plant in Denver is the project's first expansion into the West.  Colorado Public Radio's Mike Lamp talks with Barry Hornbacher of Owens Corning.
