It’s been an emotional week for the area, and especially for residents directly affected by the Waldo Canyon Fire. Those who live in the evacuated areas in Colorado Springs have been anxiously awaiting word of their homes, many of which burned earlier in the week. As KRCC’s Andrea Chalfin reports, on Thursday, fire officials were optimistic about progress, while city officials delivered some dire news.
