Last Day to Register to Vote in Colorado Springs

Today is the last day for residents of Colorado Springs to register to vote in the upcoming citywide election. Ballots will start hitting the mail this Friday, though the City Clerk’s office has until March 18th to send all of them. To check your voter registration status and information, you can visit the city’s page here.

24 candidates are running for six open seats, including four incumbents. Council districts have recently changed, and you can find out which district you live in by visiting the city’s districting website. (Please note that the map on this page is the current district setup; new districts take effect with the new election and are also accessible through that page.)

Voters are also deciding on two citywide ballot measures: one relates to changing an existing trails and open space sales tax; the second concerns pay for city councilors. Stay tuned to KRCC in the coming days for more on these ballot proposals.
