Established in 1989, the St. Lawrence String Quartet has developed an undisputed reputation as a world-class chamber ensemble. The quartet performs over 120 concerts annually worldwide and calls Stanford University home, the group is ensemble in residence there. The program for the evening will be a "Haydn Sandwich", Haydn's String Quartet in F minor Op. 20, No. 5 and String Quartet in C major, Op. 76, No. 3 "Emperor" with works by John Adams and Marcus Goddard in between. The St. Lawrence String Quartet is comprised of long-time Summer Music Festival favorite Mark Fewer, violin, as well as Geoff Nuttall, violin, Lesley Robertson, viola, and Christopher Costanza, cello.
