Rocky Mountain National Park officials say they have no plans to close parts of the park on high traffic days.
Last week, the Loveland Herald-Reporter reported officials were "discussing closing certain areas" on the park's busiest days. Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson said Monday that's not accurate:
"The only area we discussed continuing to manage (not close) in the future, was in reference to Bear Lake Road when/if we have another day like September 27, 2014, when we had 13,295 vehicles in the park," Patterson said in a statement.
