The convicted gunman behind the Aurora theater shooting is eligible for the death penalty after jurors found his crime meets the legal test to proceed with sentencing.

The jury found Thursday that four out of five "aggravating factors" alleged by the prosecution were present in the crime that Holmes committed. To qualify for the death penalty, the jury must find the crime included one or more aggravating factors, as laid out in state law.
