Aurora VA Hospital Deal Stalls Over Employee Bonuses

Time is quickly running out for Congress to reach a deal to fully fund construction of the $1.7 billion Veterans Affairs hospital complex in Aurora.

Lawmakers appeared poised to do just that Tuesday.

But a possible deal broke down over wrangling about a proposal to divert $200 million in VA employee bonuses to help pay for the project.
