205,000 Calls To Child Abuse Hotline In First Year

State officials are urging members of the public to phone the Colorado child abuse hotline when they suspect a child is being abused or neglected.

The Denver Post reports that the state hotline received 205,000 calls in its first year of operation, but nearly 80 percent of calls were from people required by law to report suspected abuse or neglect.
