A project to rebuild one of RTD’s busiest transit centers in Denver is moving forward now that Mortensen Construction has won the contract for the reconstruction of Civic Center Station.
The $26 million project includes nine bus bays and a glass-enclosed terminal building. A bus ramp extension to connect Broadway to Lincoln also is included.
A study determined replacing the 30-year-old station cost the same as trying to repair it. About 15,000 passengers use the Civic Center station daily.
