Donors take a look at the markings on the future 50-yard line of a new stadium during a ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony at Colorado State University to mark construction of an on-campus, multiple use facility Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, in Fort Collins, Colo.

The Coloradoan reports that the stadium, which will have a capacity of 41,000 people, is expected to open in time for the 2017 football season.

Athletic Director Joe Parker told the Stadium Advisory Group on Monday that the structure is beginning to "shape up" and progress is being made each day.

The advisory group also heard concerns from residents about the stadium's impact on parking in a nearby neighborhood and on a proposed bicycle and pedestrian underpass connecting residents to businesses in the area.

The group agreed to discuss the underpass at a June meeting.
