CBI’s Fingerprint Lab Makes Its Move

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation’s lab for fingerprint, ballistics, DNA and other testing has moved from Lakewood to Arvada. A lab manager says the new 26,000 square-foot facility is nearly three times the size of the Lakewood lab. Legislators passed a bill in 2013 calling for mandatory testing of sexual assault kits, meaning the bureau needed more people and equipment.
