Royal Gorge Railroad To Resume Service After Conductor Death

The scenic railroad through Colorado's Royal Gorge will begin running again Wednesday following the death of one of its conductors.

Twenty-eight-year-old Leslie Cacy was killed Saturday evening after she fell off the train and was run over. She was riding in the rear of the train as it was backing up to return to the station after traveling into the Royal Gorge. No foul play is suspected.

Train service was suspended after her death. On Tuesday the Royal Gorge Route Railroad said their team has decided they would like to get back to work as the investigation into what went wrong continues.

The Royal Gorge is about 10 miles long, with the Arkansas River running through it and the railroad running along its banks.
