Democrats Claim Majority On State Board Of Ed

It appears Democrats will control Colorado’s Board of Education for the first time in nearly 50 years, as new ballot totals Friday show Rebecca McClellan has a more than 1,000-vote lead. That’s enough to avoid a recount. McClellan is the former mayor pro-tem of Centennial. She declared victory over incumbent Republican school board member Deborah Scheffel.
