It can be hard for children with autism to communicate with other people, and if those people are other kids, there may be misunderstandings. A new children's book is meant to help both sides.

Susan Baer’s "Just Elliot" looks into the mind and feelings of a child with autism. She tells Colorado Matters that her book was inspired by a real-life “Elliot,” the son of Jane Stein.

Both women are from Boulder.
