The number of known cases of COVID-19 in Colorado grew to 19,703 , an increase of 328 cases from yesterday. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment says those numbers include not only positive test results, but also people who have been in touch with someone who had the virus and are exhibiting symptoms.

An additional 8 people have been hospitalized, bringing the total number to 3,631 . The state is reporting 971 known deaths from the novel coronavirus in Colorado. More than 104,077 people have been tested, though the number may not include all negative results.

There are 190 known outbreaks reported at residential and non-hospital healthcare facilities, prisons or other facilities.

The number of cases in each county in southern Colorado is as follows:

The Las Animas-Huerfano Counties District Health Department is also reporting additional cases in Huerfano County not yet reflected in state data.

** The state has identified the Crowley County Correctional Facility as among the known outbreaks of COVID-19 in the state. The state made the designation on Saturday, May 2. The list of known outbreaks is publicly updated each Wednesday.

Additionally, Colfax County in Northern New Mexico continues to hold steady, with five known cases of COVID-19. At least 401 people there have been tested.

There are 19,375 known confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. This includes both people who tested positive for the virus and people who have been in contact with someone who tested positive and is exhibiting symptoms.

3,623 people have been hospitalized and 967 people have died thus far due to the novel coronavirus in Colorado. More than 100,610 people have been tested, though the number may not include all negative results.

There are 188 known outbreaks reported at residential and non-hospital healthcare facilities, prisons or other facilities.
