An online open house for the proposed Front Range Passenger Rail (FRPR) is ending this Sunday, June 15.
The open house is a self-guided online tour with information on the development of the intercity passenger rail service with stations from Fort Collins to Pueblo. The open house is also an opportunity for the public to provide input on the project.
The online tour currently features an analysis of different possible options including routes, services, and investment options, and identifies the most feasible operational, environmental, and financial plans.
The first phase of Front Range Passenger Rail between Fort Collins and Denver is projected to begin by 2029 and full service is expected by 2045. The goal is to utilize existing freight railroad tracks in order to minimize costs and expedite the service start date.
