Ångström Brass Concert

Join us for a one-hour concert featuring brand new music for brass quartet by Brandon Dicks, Casey Dickey, and Dustin Williams! We'll also play some works written for Ångström Brass by Steve Lewis and Paul Epp, as well as transcriptions of works by Bruckner and Debussy.

Ångström Brass is a Kansas City-based brass quartet focused on providing you with exceptional art-music experiences. Sometimes that means revisiting great works from the past. Sometimes it means collaborating with contemporary composers. Sometimes it means composing new music for ourselves. Regardless of where the music comes from, we take it apart, distill its essence, and rebuild it into a powerful statement worthy of your attention.

The ångström is a unit of length equal to one ten-billionth of a meter. The name Ångström Brass reflects our obsession with the details and our belief that sweating the small stuff rewards our listeners.
