April First Friday Artwalk at the Manitou Art Center

Wunderkind 2023 debuts in the Hagnauer! Brand new show in the First Amendment Gallery! Wunderkind runs through April 29, and is a show devoted entirely to artwork by area high school students. First Friday Art Walk music is now curated by the Manitou Music Foundation. This First Friday's performer is Rafiel Slade. First Friday Artwalk starts at 5pm and runs to 8pm.

"Rafiel Slade's soulful and unique approach to music, mixing blues, rock, motown, jazz, funk, and his love of playing for live audiences, has made him a popular act on the Colorado music scene. Rafiel has been entertaining audiences all over the US.

As a founding member of Rafiel and the Roomshakers, a member of The Risse Band, and Deep Blue Sea, the bands and their members have opened for headliners such as David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, The Supremes, Sawyer Brown, Mothers Finest, Levert, Millie Jackson, McFadden and Whitehead, Eddie Floyd, and Clifford Curry to name a few.

If you are unable to make the First Friday Artwalk, the Manitou Art Center is open from Tuesday-Thursday 10am to 6pm, Friday and Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Closed Sunday and Mondays. Find art from the MAC on www.manitoumade.com.
