Event Description

Bob and Leesa Baker from the Lake George Gem and Mineral club will give a talk on Colorado and the Southwestern United States which have areas abundant in fossils. What is now land over a mile high was once a shallow sea where trilobites, ammonites and brachiopods lived. Tracks of dinosaurs, are evidence that they roamed throughout our region. Find out where you can see these tracks. See some of the fossils that the Baker’s have collected in our area and hear of their discovery of a 5’ dinosaur leg bone.
