The Pueblo Archaeological and Historical Society welcomes Craig Banister, avocational archaeologist with both enthusiasm and an appetite for adventure, presenting Northern Spain and Portugal: 15 Days Exploring Paleolithic Cave Art, Rock Art, and Museums.
This FREE slideshow talk about his 2024 trip includes limestone caves containing paleolithic art dating from 11,000 to as long as 40,000 years ago, northern Portugal where he saw dozens of rock art panels with paleolithic animal engravings at the open-air Côa Valley Archaeological Park, and his visit to Roman ruins.
This presentation will be held Thursday, September 4 at 7:00 PM at the Pueblo Heritage Museum, 201 W. B Street.
