Event Description

The Colorado College Gamelan Ensemble and CC Balinese Dance class students will take the stage at Packard Hall beginning at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15. The performance, under the direction of I Made Lasmawan and Ni Ketut Marni, is free and open to the public.

Gamelan is a traditional Indonesian instrumental ensemble that is made up primarily of percussion instruments. Lasmawan, a native of Bali, is an internationally acclaimed master drummer who has been providing instruction in both traditional and contemporary Indonesian music at CC for nearly 30 years.
