Event Description

First Friday!
The Manitou Springs Heritage Center and Museum and the Mineral Springs Foundation, in celebration of the Manitou Springs Waterfest, proudly present an exhibit, “Manitou Bottles and Bottling Plants” at the Manitou Springs Heritage Center and Museum.

Experience the development of the bottled mineral water industry in Manitou Springs. In the early 1900’s, Manitou Springs, with its two competing bottling plants, was the capital of bottled mineral water. Learn about the mystery of the town’s “effervescent and healthful mineral spring waters” and see the world-famous Ute Chief Gusher Bottle and the many colorful bottles that helped put Manitou Springs on the world map. The exhibit will run through November 2023.
