The Weight of Erasure

Event Description
The Weight of Erasure is a collaborative project which brings together three artists who are exploring ideas of death, decay, grief, and impermanence; forces that dismantle and reconfigure. The work navigates tension between preservation and loss. Fragments of the past are used as tokens, carrying echoes of lives once lived and unresolved grief.
Through their own unique processes, these artists preserve and obscure in equal measure. Material and techniques collide, suggesting the unstable nature of memory; partial, shifting, and impermanent. The audience can see grief move through this collection, shaping what is remembered and what is lost.
This is not an exhibition on morbidity, but on transformation. By deconstructing and reassembling, the artists probe what endures, what vanishes, and what is forcibly forgotten. The work speaks to the fragility of existence; the imprints we leave, the stories we inherit, and the difficult, necessary act of release.
Join us on July 3rd, 5-9 p.m. for a night of art and community. This show will run from July 3rd to July 26th during our usual business hours.
