- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – June 20, 2011 –Colorado Public Radio (CPR) will broadcast Central City Opera’s festival-opening performance of Georges Bizet’s Carmen on Saturday evening, June 25, on its classical music stations statewide and online at www.cpr.org. This is the first-ever live broadcast from the historic opera house.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – June 6, 2011– Colorado Public Radio (CPR) has hired pioneering multimedia journalist Lee Hill to expand and intensify community input into its local news coverage through its Public Insight Network (PIN). The Public Insight Network is an online tool used to gather perspective from the Colorado community.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – May 24, 2011– Colorado Public Radio’s (CPR) news team won two first place and two second place awards at the Colorado Associated Press Broadcasters Association (CAPBA) annual awards banquet on Saturday, May 21.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – May 16, 2011 – Colorado Public Radio (CPR) listeners showed their support for music education by donating more than 1,300 musical instruments to CPR’s second Annual Instrument Drive.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – May 18, 2011– Colorado Public Radio (CPR) continues its local news expansion with the hiring of general assignment reporter Ben Markus. In addition to his reporting duties, Markus will also produce segments for CPR’s daily local news interview program, “Colorado Matters.”

- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Feb. 8, 2011 – Building upon recent expansion of its news department, Colorado Public Radio (CPR) announced today it has received a grant from The Colorado Health Foundation to continue funding a health reporter position and grants from the Gates Family Foundation and The Piton Foundation to add a new education beat reporter to its staff.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Nov. 10, 2010 – Colorado Public Radio (CPR) welcomes Sadie Babits as assistant news director and senior producer for CPR’s daily local news program, “Colorado Matters,” and Jonathan Brown as news host and reporter. Babits oversees the interviews and reports featured in “Colorado Matters,” and assists News Director Kelley Griffin.
