More scrutiny than ever is being cast on policing around the nation, and the officers’ very existence is increasingly controversial. Many believe police abuse their power with little repercussion. Now, some Colorado police departments are working on policies that will reconnect police with their communities, including by increasing the amount of time officers are out in the communities and neighborhoods they serve.
