We hear from Bob Root. In his book, “Following Isabella”, Root tours the same places in Colorado that the Victorian traveler Isabella Bird toured back in the 1800s. Isabella Bird visited the Front Range, before Colorado was even a state. She traveled by horseback -- often alone -- and was in love with the mountains around Estes Park. Her book about the trip is still in print. It's called "A Lady's Life in the Rocky Mountains". In a 2009 interview, Ryan Warner spoke with Bob Root about why he decided to follow in Isbaella Bird's footsteps, so many years later.
