The documentary Aftershock looks at infant mortality in the Black community. Black babies in Colorado die at a disproportionate rate compared to whites and Asian/Pacific Islanders

Black babies. -- and those who birth them -- are dying at disproportionate rates in Colorado. The reasons are varied, starting with basic access to health care and extends far beyond that. The Sundance Film Festival-winning documentary, Aftershock, covers this issue of Black maternal/infant mortality. Sister-to-Sister: International Network of Professional African American Women, Inc. a Black woman’s advocacy organization based in Denver, is sponsoring a free screening this Saturday, along with a fundraising gala next month.
