Paul Beban, reporting here from Montana, is the new Rocky Mountain correspondent for Al Jazeera America. The cable channel launched this month. Beban is based in Denver, which is one of 12 bureaus across the country and dozens throughout the world. The original Al Jazeera started in the mid-90's as an Arabic language satellite broadcaster. It was controversial from the start, with critics charging it with bias and anti-semitism. Al Jazeera America is now running in Colorado and across the country. Ryan Warner spoke with Paul Beban about his new job.
