March 14 is known to math students and geeky adults around the country as Pi Day, a celebration of the ratio of a circle to a diameter. The number has an infinite number of decimal places but is often abbreviated as 3.14 -- or the abbreviation for March 14. Boulder's Luke Anderson may be the nation’s most passionate Pi lover.
Anderson isn't a mathematician or a teacher but in his spare time he founded the nonprofit TeachPi.Org to help educate kids and adults about the wonders of the infinite number. He lectures and writes songs about it. See this video on YouTube, inspired by one of Anderson's songs.
Luke Anderson talks with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner about why he loves Pi so much, and why he thinks you should, too.
