Congressman Coffman on bin Laden’s Death

Listen Now

Story reported and produced by Michelle P. Fulcher and Kelley Griffin.

U.S. Representative Mike Coffman sits on the House Armed Services Committee. The Aurora Republican is also a retired Marine who returned to active duty in 2005 to help set up elections in Iraq. Coffman heard about Osama bin Laden’s death just after he returned to Washington last night from a trade mission to China. He tells Ryan Warner that bin Laden’s death may bring closure to the American people for the attacks of 9/11, but it won’t end the threat of terrorism.
