The state’s financial future is grim. Projections are that the state will be spending a lot more than it takes in. So, according to a new report, business as usual won’t cut it. That report, released today, is from the Strategic Issues Panel on State Government at the University of Denver. The bipartisan panel includes a mix of folks from academia, government and the private sector. Jim Greisemer, from DU, chairs the panel. He talked to CPR’s Pat Mack about ways of overcoming political gridlock and addressing the state’s financial problems.
