According to a new Washington Post-Pew poll just a quarter of Americans are following the debate over sequestration. That is the clunky word for the $85 billion dollars in automatic spending cuts set to kick in March 1st. According to the same poll many people say they don’t understand “very well” what would happen if the sequester does go into effect. But, sweeping cuts are inevitable if Congress doesn’t come up with a last minute plan, and many sectors of Colorado’s economy would be hurt.
